    In 1981 Star Foods & Gifts, Inc. opened its doors to the Indian & Pakistani community of the Chicagoland area with the purpose of supplying only the finest products and  unmatched service at unbeatable prices.

    Under the name of Salwan Trading, Inc. we have expanded into wholesale, distribution, and manufacturing of various foodstuffs to go along with our retail division.  Our name brand, Mr. Manish,  has become an international symbol of supreme quality merchandise.

    Recently we have started India Kitchen, Inc. which is our own catering service that specializes in mouth-watering sweets, zesty snacks, as well as delicious entrees that are prepared in our own new hi-tech kitchen.
